We operate out of 36 L H Road in the Fort area. Steel is what we do, mostly selling different kinds of metal rods, sheets, and parts to builders or whoever needs them. The office is an old-style place, typical for Fort, with high ceilings and a bit of dust. We spend most of our time dealing with orders and talking to the suppliers. It’s a heavy business, literally, so there is always some noise from things being moved. We’ve been around for a long time, and the building shows its age, but it works for us. We don't have a showroom or anything like that. People usually know what they want before they call or walk in. We keep a lot of ledgers and books to track everything. The area is always crowded with people and cars, so getting stuff in and out can be a bit of a challenge sometimes. We just take it as it comes. It's not a flashy job, just trading steel and making sure the numbers add up at the end of the month. Some days it’s just me and a couple of others handling everything. We don't bother with much marketing, word of mouth has always been enough for us. It’s just a straightforward steel business in a busy part of the city. We keep to ourselves and focus on getting the orders out on time. That's about it for us. It is dusty work, but someone has to do it.
