You can find us at Shree Chandra Bhavan, which is Door No-11/13 on 1St Parsiwada Lane. This part of the city is quite old and the lanes are narrow, so it can be a bit of a squeeze getting larger shipments in and out. Mehta Metals (India) has been tucked away in this spot for a long time. It’s a busy area with a lot of history in the metal trade. Our office is on the ground floor, and it’s usually packed with ledgers and samples of different alloys. We spend a lot of time on the phone with suppliers and trying to figure out the best way to move materials through these tight streets. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find a lot of modern decor. Everything is functional and a bit worn down from years of use. People come to us because we know the local market and we’ve been around long enough to know where everything is. The air in the lane is always full of the sounds of the city and other businesses doing the same thing as us. We don't have much room for a big showroom, so we just show people what we have in the back or in the warehouse nearby. It is a bit chaotic sometimes, especially when two trucks meet in the lane, but we have a system that works. There is always someone drinking tea and discussing the daily rates. We just keep at it, day after day.
