Md Shipping Agency

Md Shipping Agency is tucked away in the Patwa Chamber on Clive Road, specifically in room 29. We are right in the middle of Dana Bunder in Masjid East. If you have ever been down there, you know it is one of the busiest, most crowded parts of Mumbai. There are trucks everywhere and the air is full of dust and the smell of the sea. We are a shipping agency, so we basically act as the middleman for a lot of the activity that happens at the docks. We help with the paperwork and the clearances that are needed for ships to load and unload. Our office is in an old building, and it is a bit of a climb to get up here. It is not a polished place at all. We have old wooden desks and stacks of ledgers and documents everywhere. It is noisy because of the railway station nearby and all the heavy vehicles on the road outside. We spend most of our day talking to customs people and port authorities. It can be quite stressful when a ship is waiting and the papers are not ready, but we have been doing this long enough that we do not panic easily. We just keep working through the forms until everything is sorted out. It is a gritty, hard-working environment and we do not try to make it look like something it isn't. Just a lot of coffee and paperwork.
