Max Steels

Max Steels is situated at 32/34 Keshav Bhavan. We are up on the second floor, and the building is right on 1st Carpenter Street. If you’re familiar with the area near C.P. Tank, you know it’s a maze of narrow lanes and old buildings. Our office is a bit of a climb, and we’ve been using Post Box No. 3738 for as long as I can remember. The space is filled with old ledgers and samples of different steel grades. It’s a traditional way of doing business here. We don't have fancy computer screens everywhere; it’s more about the relationships we’ve built with the local traders and builders. The street downstairs is always crowded with handcarts and people moving heavy loads of metal. It gets very loud, especially during the middle of the day, but we like the energy of the market. Sometimes the electricity flickers or the rain leaks through the window a bit during the monsoon, but we just put a bucket down and keep working. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of employees. It’s just a handful of us who know the steel trade inside out. We spend our time checking weights, verifying grades, and making sure the orders are shipped to the right place. It’s a busy, cramped, and honest way to make a living in the heart of the city.
