Mauli Battery

Mauli Battery is located at G/3 in Balu Niwas, which is on Rajendra Nagar in Borivali East. We are right opposite the Tata Steel company, so it is a very easy landmark to find if you are driving by. The shop is mostly filled with heavy batteries and different tools we use for testing and fixing things. There is always a bit of grease on the floor and the smell of lead and acid is something you just get used to after a few days. I spend a lot of time lifting heavy units and connecting wires. It is physical work and my hands are rarely clean by the end of the shift. Balu Niwas is an older building, and our space on the ground floor is convenient for people who need to pull up their vehicles for a quick check. Sometimes the traffic from the steel company gets backed up, and we sit and watch the trucks go by while we wait for the next job. We don't have a big sign or anything flashy, just the name and the work we do. Most of our customers are locals who have been coming to us for years whenever their car or inverter battery dies. It is a straightforward business without any bells and whistles. We keep the tools organized on a wooden bench at the back and there is a small stool for me to sit on during the breaks.
