Mathi Associates

You can find us at 4 Bhandup West in the GIDC area. Bhandup is one of those places that is always moving, and being in the industrial part means there is never a quiet moment. We’ve been here at Mathi Associates for quite some time now. Our unit is basically one large room where we do everything from the admin work to the actual assembly or sorting. It’s a bit cluttered with boxes and parts, but we know where everything is. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it hasn't really been a priority for us. We focus more on the work that needs to be finished by the end of the week. The staff here is a small group of hard-working people who don't mind getting their hands dirty. We usually have the radio playing in the background to keep things lively. The local trains are nearby, so there is always a rush of people during the morning and evening hours. We don’t do big meetings or have complicated rules. If something needs to be done, we just talk it over and get it done. It’s a very grounded way of working. We enjoy the community of other small businesses in the GIDC, and we often help each other out with tools or advice when needed. It’s just a normal, busy shop in Mumbai.
