Mateshwari Battery Service

We are based at number 2 on New Nagardas Road in Andheri East. This is a very busy part of the city, which is good for a battery service shop. There are always cars and trucks passing by, and many of them end up needing a new battery or a quick charge. Our floor is almost always covered with heavy batteries of all different sizes. It is messy work and our hands are usually covered in black grease or dust by the end of the shift. The shop is open to the street, so we get all the noise and the exhaust from the traffic outside. We do not have any comfortable chairs or a waiting room. Most people just stand around or wait in their vehicles while we check the terminals and the acid levels. It is a practical business and we do not spend much time on decorations or looking fancy. We just have our testing equipment and the tools we need to pull batteries out of tight engine bays. Andheri East is a hectic place to work, but we have been on New Nagardas Road long enough to know the rhythm of the traffic. We deal with regular customers who have been coming to us for years and also people who just happen to get stuck nearby. It is hard work but it keeps the lights on and the vehicles moving.
