Mas Doors

You can find us in the Indu Building over in Shivai Nagar, right on Pokhran Road No. 1 in Thane West. It is a busy part of Thane, and the road outside is always moving with buses and cars. At Mas Doors, we deal with a lot of wooden items and frames that take up quite a bit of room. The shop isn't huge, so we have to be very careful about how we stack things. If you put one door in the wrong place, you can't get to anything else. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting and leaning these heavy pieces against the walls. The air usually smells a bit like sawdust and wood polish, which isn't a bad thing. We have a small area where we sit to handle the billing, but most of the time we are on our feet. Sometimes the delivery trucks get stuck in the Thane traffic, and we end up waiting around later than we expected. We’ve had the same neighbors in Shivai Nagar for years, so there is a friendly vibe in the building. We aren't trying to be anything we're not. We just show up, move some doors, talk to the people who walk in, and try to make sure they get what they need for their house projects. It’s a bit cramped and sometimes a bit chaotic, but it is our daily reality and we are used to the pace. We keep a small radio playing in the background to make the long afternoons go by faster.
