If you walk down Prabhu Shree Ram Mandir Marg, which most people around here still call 4th Kumbharwada, you’ll find us at Dodia House. We are on the first floor at number 34. This part of the city is incredibly packed, and the lanes are narrow, so getting metal in and out can be a real challenge sometimes. Our office is a bit of a climb up the stairs, and it’s a typical old-style workspace. We’ve got metal samples on the shelves and desks that have seen better days. It’s a family-run kind of atmosphere even though we are a business. You’ll usually hear the sounds of the street below—vendors shouting and horns honking—while we are trying to talk on the phone. It’s not the quietest place to work, but it has a lot of energy. We spend our time calculating weights and prices for different metal orders. The light in the office isn't the best, so we have a few extra lamps sitting around. There’s usually a bit of dust because of all the industrial activity in the neighborhood, but we just wipe it off and keep going. We don't bother with much branding or signage inside; the people who need to find us usually know where we are. It’s a simple operation, really. We just focus on the metals and making sure the orders are packed right before they go out the door. It is a long day, but we enjoy being part of this market.
