We are based in Suite No. 804 on the 8th floor of the Sunteck Certainty building, which is part of Housefind Bhavan at C-21 in the Bandra Kurla Complex. Working in Bandra East means we are surrounded by tall buildings and a lot of traffic. It’s a busy area and the atmosphere is always a bit hurried. Our office is where the paperwork happens for the steel business, so you’ll see plenty of files and computer screens when you walk in. Even though the building looks very modern and polished from the outside, inside it’s just us trying to stay on top of the logistics and orders. The elevator can be slow during the lunch hour because everyone in the building is trying to head out at once. We have a small kitchen area where we grab our tea and talk about the day’s work. It isn't a very loud place compared to a factory floor, but the clicking of keyboards and the phones ringing keep it from being silent. We spend our time checking on shipments and making sure the numbers in our records match up with what’s actually happening out in the yards. The view from the 8th floor is mostly of other offices and the busy streets below, which reminds us how much is going on in Mumbai. We just come in, do the work, and try to get home before the evening traffic gets too bad.
