Our office is at No. 102 in the Lohar Chawl area, which is very close to the Marine Lines station. If you’ve ever been to Lohar Chawl, you know how packed and energetic it is. There are shops everywhere and people moving in every direction with carts and boxes. We are right in the thick of that. Being near Marine Lines station makes it easy for the staff to get in, though the walk through the crowded lanes can be a bit of a scramble. We operate from a space that’s been there for quite some time. It’s an old building, the kind you find all over this part of South Mumbai. Inside, we just have our desks and the inventory we need to keep track of. It’s a noisy environment because of the street life outside, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We don't have a lot of room for anything that isn't essential. Every square inch of the office is used for something, whether it’s storing files or keeping the computers running. We spend our days talking to people who come by and making sure the orders are moving out the door. It’s a very practical way to run a hardware business. There’s no room for corporate talk here; it’s all about the daily grind and making sure the numbers add up at the end of the day. It gets hot in the summer, but the fans keep the air moving enough to work.
