Marimba Bar & Lounge

We’re located at 23 A on the 2nd Main Road along B G Kher Road. Marimba Bar & Lounge is a place where we’ve tried to create a bit of a relaxed atmosphere. It’s not one of those loud, pumping clubs. It’s more of a spot where you can actually hear your friends talk. We have some low lighting and chairs that are comfortable enough to sit in for a while. The bar stays stocked with the usual stuff people ask for. We spend our evenings pouring drinks and making sure the music isn’t too loud. Being on B G Kher Road means we get a mix of people. Some are coming from work and others are just looking for a night out. We’ve had to fix the plumbing once or twice and the floorboards creak in certain spots, but it adds to the character. It’s just a local lounge where the staff knows how to mix a decent drink. We don’t have a dress code or anything like that. Just come as you are. The 2nd Main Road can be quiet at night, but we keep the lights on until closing time. We have a big mirror behind the bar that’s been there since before we even took over the lease. It’s got some spots on the silvering that won’t come off no matter how much we polish it. It gives the place an older feel, which we like. The stools are a bit heavy to move when we’re sweeping up at night, but they don’t wobble, so that’s good.
