We are located on the Immadahalli Main Road over in Matunga. It’s a busy stretch and there is always a lot of dust and traffic moving by. Our stall isn't much to look at, just a counter and a few stools for whoever wants to sit for a minute. We make tea and coffee throughout the day. The milk comes in early, and we start the first pot right away. It’s a small operation, usually just one or two of us behind the stove. We know most of the regulars by their names or at least by what they drink. Some like it with a lot of sugar, others want it black. We don't use fancy machines, just a basic pot and a strainer. Sometimes the floor gets a bit messy when it rains, but we try to sweep it out when things slow down. Matunga is a nice area but it stays loud, so you have to speak up when you order. We don't have a menu printed out anywhere, we just tell people what we have. It’s mostly just tea, maybe some buns if the delivery guy came on time. We’ve been on this road for a while now and we don't plan on moving. It is a simple life, making tea for the commuters and the shopkeepers nearby. Just a regular tea stall on a busy road. We keep the kettle whistling from dawn until dusk and the sugar jars topped off.
