If you’re ever stuck in traffic at P.K. Kurne Chowk in Worli, you’ve definitely seen the building we’re in. Mahindra Intertrade Limited is based right here in Mahindra Towers. It’s a busy intersection, and the noise of the city never really stops, even when you’re inside. We spend a lot of time dealing with trade documents, logistics, and coordinating between different suppliers. It’s a lot of phone calls and emails, sitting at desks under those flickering office lights. The view from the windows is mostly just more buildings and the endless stream of cars below. Even though it’s a big name on the door, our day-to-day is pretty mundane. We’ve got stacks of files that need organizing and printers that seem to jam at the worst times. During lunch, most of us head out to the local stalls around Worli for some quick food before heading back up. It’s a professional enough setup, but it feels like any other workplace where people are just trying to get through their to-do lists. We have a tea guy who comes around, which is usually the highlight of the afternoon. The elevators are always crowded in the morning, so you learn to get here a bit early if you want to avoid the rush. It’s a solid place to work, even if the pace can get a bit frantic when there’s a lot of cargo moving through the ports that we have to keep track of.
