Mahesh Polisher

Mahesh Polisher is located at Plot No-52 in Govind Nagar, Chakal. You can find us right behind the telephone exchange in Andheri East, which is a pretty crowded part of Mumbai. It’s always noisy here, between the traffic and the sound of our polishing machines running. We spend most of our time covered in a bit of grit or dust from whatever we happen to be working on that day. It’s hands-on work, there’s no way around it. When you’re polishing something to make it look right, you have to pay attention to the details, and that takes time. The shop isn't much to look at from the outside, but it has everything we need to do the job. We have been in this spot for a while now and we know most of the people on the block. Andheri East is a busy place to be, and being behind the telephone exchange means it’s always easy to give people directions to find us. We don’t have a fancy reception desk or anyone to answer phones with a script. It’s just us, working with our hands and making sure the surfaces we touch end up looking better than when they arrived. The heat in Mumbai can be tough in the afternoons, especially with the machines going, but we just keep at it until the work is finished. It is a living, and we take it one day at a time.
