We are located on R P Road over in Dahisar Gaonthan West. It’s a bit of an old area, but it’s where we’ve set up our small office. Being a chartered accountant firm, there are always stacks of files everywhere, especially when tax season rolls around. The office isn't very large, so we have to be careful not to trip over the boxes. I’ve been in Mumbai 400068 for quite some time now, and I’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. We get a lot of locals coming in with their documents in plastic bags, looking for someone to make sense of the numbers. It’s just a few of us working at the desks. The window looks out onto the street, so it can get noisy with the traffic outside. We drink a lot of coffee to stay awake during the long afternoons. It's a lot of sitting and looking at screens or ledgers. I don’t believe in having a fancy waiting room; usually, people just sit on the chairs near the entrance. We try to keep up with the new rules, but it’s a lot of reading. Sometimes the printer jams when we're in a hurry, which is always annoying. It’s a honest living, and we just do the work that comes our way. The door is usually open during the day unless the AC is on. We also have a small filing cabinet that won't stay closed right.
