Mahek Plastic

Walking into our place at Shradhha Building, you’ll mostly see stacks of plastic items reaching almost to the ceiling. We are located in Sampatrao Colony in Malad West, which is a busy little pocket of the city. The shop, SH-B/23, is where we spend nearly all our time. It’s often quite warm inside because of all the stock, so we keep the door open to get whatever breeze comes off the street. We deal with all sorts of plastic goods, from buckets to containers, and it takes a lot of effort to keep everything organized. Often, we are just moving things from the back to the front so customers can see what we have. The floor is concrete and can get a bit dusty with all the foot traffic. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know where every single item is hidden. If you ask for a specific size of tub, we can usually pull it out from a pile in seconds. It’s a simple way of making a living, and we’ve been part of this colony for years. People around here know us by name, and we know who’s likely to stop by on a Saturday morning. There’s no fancy décor here, just practical shelves and the honest smell of new plastic products waiting to be used.
