Mahavir Steel Industries Ltd is located at Vyapar Bhavan on P.D. Mello Road. We occupy units 417 to 419, which gives us a decent amount of room on the fourth floor. The building itself is one of those old, sturdy structures that has seen a lot of trade go through its doors over the decades. Being on P.D. Mello Road means we are right in the thick of the industrial and shipping activity, so you can always hear the sound of heavy trucks and the general bustle of the docks nearby. It is a very busy area, and the air usually smells a bit like salt and diesel. Our office is pretty traditional; we have heavy wooden desks and stacks of ledgers that seem to never get smaller. There is no fancy lobby or receptionist to greet you, just a few of us working away and the sound of the ceiling fans clicking. People come and go throughout the day, mostly talking about steel prices or logistics. We have been at this address for a long time, and we know the other tenants in the building quite well. It’s the kind of place where everyone knows everyone else’s business, which is just how these old trade buildings work. We don't really have a lot of bells and whistles here. We just focus on the steel business and try to keep our clients happy without making things more complicated than they need to be for anyone involved.
