Mahalaxmi Steel Industries is over in Girgaon, and we also have the spot in Kandivili East at 53/57. We handle a lot of metal here every single day. It's noisy work, to be honest with you. You hear the clanging of steel bars and the sound of the trucks loading up all through the morning and afternoon. The guys are usually covered in some kind of grease or dark dust from the materials we move. We’ve been at this location for a long time now. It’s definitely not a clean office job where you wear a suit. We deal with heavy stuff that requires some muscle. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, especially when it rains hard and we have to make sure the stock stays dry or at least doesn't get ruined by the dampness. We just get on with it though. People come to us for steel because they know exactly where we are located. We don't spend much time on the computer or doing a lot of paperwork if we can help it. We'd much rather be out there moving things around or checking the loads. The neighborhood knows us well. It’s a busy part of the city. We have our daily routine. Morning starts with some tea and then we check what needs to go out on the trucks. If you look at our hands, you can easily tell what we do for a living.
