Madras Centrifugal Castings

Working out of this spot on Munusamy Street has been our routine for a long time. The shop is located in Athipet, right along the Vanagaram III Main Road. You probably know how busy it gets around here with all the industrial trucks passing by. Our place at No. 7 is where we handle all the casting jobs. It definitely isn't a quiet environment to work in. Furnaces create a lot of heat, and there is always the clatter of metal being moved from one side to the other. Most days, we just keep our heads down and focus on the centrifugal casting orders. Starting early in the morning helps us get a jump on things before the afternoon sun makes the shop even warmer. It is a small crew here, just a few of us making sure everything gets finished. Don't expect a fancy office or a lobby if you visit. We are usually in the back where the molds are kept. Sand and dust are everywhere on the floor, but that's just the nature of foundry work. Local people stop by now and then to chat or ask about a specific part they need. Being part of the Athipet area for so long feels right to us. The work is tough and physical, keeping us busy throughout the week. We rarely use computers; our hands are usually busy with the machines instead.
