The academy is located at Juhu Nana Peth 202, and it’s usually quite a loud place to be. We have music playing at almost all hours, whether it's for a dance class or someone practicing their lines for a play. The floors are a bit worn down from all the feet moving across them, but that’s a good sign in our line of work. We have mirrors lining the walls and a few stacks of old scripts sitting on the benches. It’s not a polished studio like you might see in the movies; it’s a working space where people actually sweat and make mistakes. We’ve got costumes hanging in the back that need mending and some old props that have seen better days. Kids come in after school with their bags, and adults show up in the evenings after they finish their jobs. There’s a lot of energy in the room, even if the building itself is a bit old. Sometimes the neighborhood is quiet, but inside, there’s always something going on. We don’t have a big fancy lobby or a receptionist at a marble desk. It’s just us, the teachers, and the students trying to get a routine right or find the right emotion for a scene. It feels very grounded and real here. We just open the doors and let the creativity happen, even if it gets a little messy and chaotic at times. That is the way we like it.
