We’ve been at Imperial Chambers on SS Tolani Marg for a long time now. Ballard Estate has that old feeling, and our office is right in the middle of it. Mostly, we just handle machine tools. It's not flashy work, but it keeps us busy from morning until evening. Sometimes the phones don't stop ringing and other days it's a bit quieter, giving us time to catch up on paperwork. People come by the estate for all sorts of business, and we're just one of the shops here doing our part. It’s a lot of metal and specifications. The commute into this part of the city can be a bit of a headache with the traffic, but you get used to it after a few years. We know the neighbors and the local tea stall guy pretty well. Dealing with machines means things can get technical, but we try to keep it simple when talking to anyone who walks in. The walls here have seen a lot of history. We don’t really do much advertising or anything like that. Most folks find us because they need something specific for their workshop or factory. It is just honest work. We spend our hours looking at catalogs and shipping orders out. The office isn't fancy, just some desks and a lot of files. It works for what we do. We usually start around nine and stay until the job is done. Some days that means leaving late when a big order comes in. You just do what you have to.
