We are based at 211 Quay Street in the Mazgaon area. This part of town is very industrial, and you can always hear the sound of machinery or ships in the distance. We deal with steel, so our day-to-day involves a lot of heavy lifting and moving large pieces of metal around the warehouse. The floor is concrete and usually has some grease or metal shavings on it. It’s a tough environment, but we’ve been here at Quay Street for a long time. We don't have an air-conditioned office or soft chairs. Usually, we are just standing around the yard or sitting at a wooden desk near the entrance. The air smells like salt and iron because we are so close to the water. We get deliveries at all hours, so someone is usually around to sign the papers. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just supply steel to the people who need it for their projects. It’s a lot of physical labor and checking measurements to make sure things are right. The gate at 211 is big and heavy, just like everything else we work with. We are just regular people working in a gritty part of Mazgaon. It is noisy and dirty work, but it is what we know how to do best. We just keep the inventory moving and stay out of the way.
