M. D. H. Global Trade

We work out of Patel Building in Gamadia Colony, which is in the Tardeo area. Our office is Flat No. 11 on the second floor of building number 9. Since it is a residential building, it doesn’t really feel like a cold corporate office. It feels more like a home that has been turned into a workspace. M. D. H. Global Trade is run by just a few of us. We have to walk up the two flights of stairs every day because there isn't an elevator. The building is quite old and has that nice old-world Mumbai charm. Inside, we have desks set up in the different rooms. It can be a bit quiet in Gamadia Colony, which is a nice break from the noise of Tardeo Road outside. We spend a lot of time on the computer or checking our ledgers. Sometimes the neighbor’s cat wanders in if the door is left ajar. We don't have any big signs or fancy lighting. It’s just us and our work. We usually go out to one of the local stalls for a quick snack in the evening. Working from a flat means we have a small kitchen area to make our own tea, which is great. It is a humble setup, but it works for what we do. We aren't interested in looking polished; we just want to make sure the trade business keeps running smoothly every day.
