Sharp Exim

Sharp Exim is tucked away in the Shah & Nahar Industrial Estate. If you know Lower Parel, you know how packed it gets on SJ Marg. We are in Unit 110 of the A-2 building. It’s an old industrial space, so the elevators are usually a bit slow and the hallways are filled with boxes from all the other units. We’ve been operating out of this room for a long time. It’s a bit cramped because we have so many samples and documents everywhere. We mostly deal with trade stuff. Some days are just constant phone calls and other days it’s quiet while we wait for news on a shipment. The traffic outside is always a nightmare, especially in the evenings when everyone is trying to leave the estate at once. We don’t have a big corporate lobby or a receptionist. Usually, whoever is closest to the door just gets up to see who it is. We drink a lot of tea while we look over our lists. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. We like being in this part of town though, because everything you need is right there. It feels like the heart of the old city. We just focus on our daily tasks and try to make sure nothing gets missed in the pile of paperwork. It’s just us here, working through the week. We don't have fancy brochures or a PR person. We just keep things moving.
