Lilly Martime is tucked away in Lucky House on Shahid Bhagat Singh Road. Fort is a place that never really sleeps, and being at 272/10 puts us right in the middle of all that energy. The building has that classic Mumbai feel, a bit weathered but sturdy. When you walk up to our office, you notice the stairs are worn down from years of people coming and going. Inside, it’s mostly just us and our computers. We don’t have a big reception desk or anything like that. People just walk in and find who they need to talk to. The maritime business keeps us pretty busy, so there is usually a lot of typing and phone calls happening at once. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when several things happen at the same time, but we manage. Shahid Bhagat Singh Road is always packed with people heading to the station or the docks. We see the same vendors every morning when we arrive. It’s nice to have that familiarity. The office itself is quite plain. We have some old maps on the walls and plenty of files in cabinets. We focus on the work rather than making the place look like a showroom. It’s a functional space where we handle the daily grind of shipping. It’s been our base for quite some time, and we like being part of the Fort business crowd. It’s honest work in a busy part of the city, and we just keep it moving.
