Liberty Enterprises

Liberty Enterprises is located on the ground floor, shop number two, in Garmal Wadgaon. Being in Kalbadevi means you're always in the middle of a crowd. It's a narrow lane, and sometimes the delivery carts block the way, but we don't mind. We've been in this spot for quite some time now. The building is old, and you can see the history in the stone and the heavy doors. Inside, it’s mostly boxes and shelves. We don't have a showroom with bright lights. It’s more of a functional space where we handle our business. My brother and I run things mostly. We grew up around this market, so we know how it works. There’s no big corporate structure here. If a customer has a question, they talk to us directly. We don't use much fancy English or marketing talk. We just tell you what we have and what the price is. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we never seem to find the time. We are too busy keeping up with the orders. It’s a bit of a squeeze when more than three people are inside at once, but we manage. In the evenings, the street gets even busier with the night market starting up. We usually close up then, after a long day of work. It’s just how we live and work here. The tea stall at the corner is where we get our morning start every single day before opening the shop.
