Laxmi Steel

Laxmi Steel is our small operation over in Dahisar East. We’re located right behind S V Road, which is handy for getting stuff moved in and out. The yard is usually full of pipes, rods, and different bits of metal. It gets a bit dusty and loud during the day when we’re loading the trucks. We’ve been at this for several years now. It started as a small shed and we just kept going. My brother and I handle the orders and we have a few guys who help with the heavy lifting. We don't have a fancy showroom. If you want to see what we have, you just walk into the yard and look at the stacks. It’s honest work and it gets our hands dirty. Sometimes the weather makes it tough, especially when it rains and everything gets muddy, but that’s just part of the business. We know most of the contractors around here. They stop by when they need something for a new house or a repair. We don't do much talking, mostly just measuring and cutting. We try to be fair with everyone who comes through the gate. There isn't a big corporate office here, just a small cabin with a desk where we keep the bills. It’s a simple setup but it works for us and our customers seem to appreciate that we don't overcomplicate things too much.
