Laxmi Steel Corporation

Laxmi Steel Corporation is located up on the first floor of the Rajendra Vihar Building. It’s in Sector 8, right on Khetwadi Back Road. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs, especially when the weather is humid, but once you’re inside it’s alright. The office overlooks the street, so we can see all the chaos of Khetwadi happening below. There’s always someone honking or some construction noise nearby. We deal with steel orders and logistics from this small office space. It’s not very modern; we still have old wooden desks and piles of files that probably should have been archived years ago. But it works for us. We know our customers and they know where to find us in Sector 8. The building itself is quite sturdy, though the hallways are a bit dark. We spend our mornings going through the mail and the afternoons on the phone with suppliers. It’s a lot of sitting and talking. Sometimes we have to go down to the warehouse to check on things, but mostly we are right here in the office. It’s a steady kind of job. No one here is trying to be fancy. We just provide the steel people ask for and make sure the billing is correct. Khetwadi is a tight-knit area, so we see the same faces every day passing by the building entrance.
