We’ve been running Lawson Tours And Travel from this spot in Juhu Scheme for a good while now. Our office is tucked away in Haji Moujat Khan Ki Chawl on Gilbert Hill Road. If you know Andheri West, you know it’s a busy place with people always on the move. We don’t have a fancy storefront with flashing lights. It’s just a small, practical space where we sit down with people to plan their trips. Most days are spent looking at flight schedules and train timings. We have maps pinned to the walls and stacks of brochures that have been there for ages. It’s a bit messy sometimes, but we know where everything is. The noise from the street is constant, but it’s just part of being in Mumbai. We handle a lot of local travel, but we do help with further trips too when someone asks. It’s mostly just us doing the paperwork and making calls. We don’t use big marketing slogans or anything like that. We just tell people what’s available and help them book it. It’s honest work. Sometimes the internet acts up and we have to wait, so we just have some tea. People from the neighborhood stop by to ask about ticket prices. We’ve grown to know many of them over the years. It’s a simple operation, really. We just keep things moving day by day.
