Lancys Java Joy

Lancys Java Joy is tucked away in Bandra West on 19th Main and 17th B Cross at number 14. I have been working the morning shift here for a while and the first thing I do is get the machines warmed up. Bandra West is a place where people are always in a rush but on this particular cross street it feels a little slower than the main roads. We have the address 14 marked on the door but sometimes people still get lost looking for the 17th B Cross intersection. The smell of the beans is the strongest right when you open the bags and it stays in my clothes even after I go home. It is not a very large place so when the grinder is going you can barely hear the person standing right in front of you. We have a few chairs but a lot of people just take their cups and head back out to the 19th Main. I spend a lot of time cleaning the steam wand and making sure the milk is cold in the fridge. The floor gets dusty because of all the foot traffic from the street and I have to sweep it at least three times a day. It is just a coffee spot where we try to keep the mugs clean and the water hot. No one here wears a suit and we just wear our regular clothes to get the work done.
