Lakshi Steel Centre

Down here in the Ambad industrial area, things move at a certain pace. Lakshi Steel Centre is tucked into Shop No. SS-87, right across from where Parnay Stamping is. If you've ever spent time in MIDC, you know it's all about the factories and the constant hum of machinery. Our shop is no different. We spend the day surrounded by steel of all shapes and sizes. It’s not a glamorous job, but it keeps us busy. Most of our morning is spent checking the inventory and making sure the saws are working right. The heat can get a bit much during the summer months, especially with the metal reflecting everything, but we just keep the fans going and carry on. We get a lot of workers from the nearby units dropping by for specific bits of steel they need for a quick fix or a new project. It’s nice being part of the local Ambad community because you get to know the faces of the people working in the sheds around you. We don’t really bother with big signs or fancy displays. The steel speaks for itself, really. We just try to stay organized and make sure we don't lose track of any orders in the pile. Sometimes the lorries struggle to turn in the narrow lanes, but that’s just part of life in an industrial zone. It's a straightforward business and we like it that way. Usually, we're here until the sun goes down, just sorting through the scraps and preparing for the next morning.
