Korel Creative Craft & Arts

Korel Creative Craft & Arts is on the second floor of the Shyam Kutir Cooperative Housing Society. We are in Vile Parle East, right near the railway crossing. You can hear the trains passing by all day long, which is just part of the atmosphere here. We are in unit A/204. Unlike a lot of the shops on the street level, you have to come up the stairs to find us. It is a quiet space where we do all our craft and art work. It is not a retail store with big windows. It feels more like a studio where things are actually being made. Vile Parle is a busy part of Mumbai, but once you are inside the society, it feels a bit more relaxed. We have tables set up for different projects and shelves full of supplies. We don't have a glossy catalog. We just work on what we enjoy and help people who are looking for something creative. Sometimes we are messy with paint or glue, but that is how it goes when you are making things by hand. Being near the station is handy for people coming from other parts of the city. We have been here for a bit and the neighbors in the society are used to us being around. It is a small, honest business for creative folks.
