You can find Ajay Arts over in Dadar East at Haque B. We are in Shop No 10 on the first floor. Dadar is always a bit of a rush, and this building is no different. Since we are on the first floor, you have to head up the stairs, which are sometimes a bit narrow if people are carrying stuff down. The shop itself is a modest space where we keep all our supplies and tools. It’s not a large showroom or anything like that; it is mostly a place where we sit and work on the designs and art pieces. There are paints, brushes, and different boards leaning against the walls. The smell of thinner and ink is usually pretty noticeable when you walk in. We have been doing this for years and have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit, but the shop stays pretty much the same. Most of our work comes from people nearby who know where we are tucked away. It’s a bit of a squeeze when we have a lot of materials delivered at once, but we manage to keep things organized enough to find what we need. We don’t really do much advertising; we just stay at the shop and handle whatever work comes through the door. It is a quiet little spot in a very busy part of the city, and that suits us just fine for the kind of handiwork we do.
