Perfect Craft

Our shop is tucked away in 6-B, Singh Compound, right on Navpada Road. If you know the area, we’re directly opposite the Veena Dalwai Industrial Estate in Oshivara. It’s a tight spot, especially with the Jogeshwari traffic always humming outside. The compound gets pretty crowded with deliveries and people moving materials around, so you have to watch your step. Inside Perfect Craft, it’s mostly the smell of whatever we’re working on that day and the sound of hand tools. We aren’t a big operation with a lobby or anything like that. It’s just a workshop where things get made. Most of us have been coming here for years, taking the same route through the narrow lanes. Sometimes the rain gets heavy and leaks a bit near the front door, but we just put a bucket down and keep going. We know the neighbors at the other units pretty well; we usually end up sharing tea from the stall around the corner twice a day. It’s a bit of a maze getting here if you’re new, but once you find the gate, you’ll see we’re just a regular bunch of guys doing what we do. It’s noisy and messy at times, but that’s just how it is when you’re actually making things by hand. No fancy desks here, just workbenches and plenty of scrap pieces lying around the floor. We just try to get the orders done and out the door on time.
