Kkh High School

Our school is located in Powai. It is a high school, so the kids are older and the atmosphere is a bit different from a primary school. The building is quite old and has several floors. We don't have an elevator, so everyone gets a lot of exercise walking up and down the stairs all day. The classrooms are pretty standard with wooden benches and blackboards. We have a small laboratory for science experiments, but it is a bit cramped. The playground isn't very big, so the kids mostly just hang out in the corridors during their breaks. Powai has changed a lot since we first opened, with all the new buildings and shops, but our school has stayed mostly the same. We have a small library with books that have been donated over the years. Some of the pages are yellowed, but the stories are still good. The staff room is where we spend our free periods, usually drinking tea and grading papers. It is a busy place and it can get quite loud when the bell rings. We don't have any of those smart boards or fancy tablets. We just teach the old-fashioned way with books and talk. It is a simple life here. We see the kids grow up and eventually leave for college, which is always a bit sad but that is the job. We just try to get through the curriculum every year.
