Kiran Metal

Kiran Metal is located at Plot Number 181 in Chembur. We are right across from the Navjeevan Society and very close to Deepak Opticians on the Ghatkopar - Mahul Road. The shop is a bit loud because we are always cutting or moving metal pieces around. It is a dusty place, so we do not wear our best clothes to work. My father started this business a long time ago and I took it over after he retired. We have a couple of guys who help with the heavy lifting and operating the machines. We do not really do any advertising or marketing. Most of the people who come here are just locals who saw our sign or heard about us from a neighbor. The traffic on this road can be really bad in the afternoon, so we try to get most of our big tasks done early. We have piles of metal sheets and pipes in the back room. It can be a bit of a mess sometimes, but we know where everything is. We are not interested in being some huge corporation. We just want to do the work and keep things moving. Sometimes the old machines break down and we have to spend hours fixing them ourselves. That is just part of the job. We have been in this same spot for years and it feels like a second home to us.
