Kinnari Steel Corporation is right in the heart of Mumbai’s busy streets. You can find us at Opera House, specifically on 2nd Carpenter Street at 24/1. This area is famous for all sorts of trade and it’s always crowded with people and handcarts moving things around at all hours. We deal with steel, so there is always a lot of heavy lifting and moving pipes or sheets from the delivery trucks. The shop is small and packed with inventory from floor to ceiling. It can be hard to move around sometimes but we know where every piece is kept and can find it quickly. We’ve been here for years and the street feels like a second home to all of us. It’s noisy and dusty but that’s just how Carpenter Street is every single day. We don't have a fancy website or a big marketing team to tell our story. We just talk to the people who walk in and help them find the steel they need for their specific projects. Sometimes the monsoon rains make things difficult with the leaks, but we manage. Dealing with steel is tough on the hands and we are usually covered in a bit of grime by the end of the shift. We just take the orders, cut what needs cutting, and get it out the door to the customers. It’s a simple business built on being there.
