King Steels

King Steels is located at Shop No. 16/1 in Ratan Mansion. 2nd Khetwadi Lane is one of those narrow streets where everyone seems to know everyone. Our shop isn't very large, but we pack a lot into it. We mostly sell steel rods, bars, and different sections. It’s heavy work, moving the stock around to show customers what we have. We’ve been in this mansion for quite a few years. The building has seen better days, but it’s sturdy. We don't have any polished floors or bright lights. It’s a working shop with tools and metal scraps lying around. Usually, there’s a couple of us here to help with loading or cutting pieces to length. We don't use any fancy sales talk. If we have it, we’ll tell you. If we don't, we’ll tell you that too. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed until a big order comes in, then it gets a bit hectic. We drink our tea standing up most of the time. The lane outside is always a bit of a squeeze for the delivery trucks. We’ve gotten good at navigating the space over time. It’s just a normal local business. We don't have a corporate mission or anything like that. We just sell steel and try to make a living doing it. Most people come here because we’re easy to deal with and we don't make things complicated. It’s been our home for a while, and we’re quite comfortable with how things are run.
