Kilkari Child Public School

Kilkari Child Public School has been operating out of the Namdar Building for quite some time now. We are situated on the second floor, right above where Bhola is, on D J Road in Vile Parle West. Being in this part of Mumbai means there is always something going on outside our windows. We started this school because the neighborhood needed a local spot for children to learn their basics. It is not a massive campus with fields and fancy gyms, but we have made the most of the space we have. Most families who send their kids here live just a few streets away in the local area. It makes for a nice community feeling every morning when people drop their kids off before heading to work. The halls get a bit crowded during break times, but that is just part of the daily routine for us. We don't spend much time on fancy decorations or big advertisements. Most of our students come to us through word of mouth from other parents in the Vile Parle area. The building is an older one, which gives it some character. We focus on getting through the lessons and making sure the kids are safe and looked after while they are here. It is practical work. Sometimes we have to deal with the usual city issues like noise or power stuff, but we just get on with it. We like being a fixture in this little corner of Mumbai.
