Khetlaji Steel Centre

Khetlaji Steel Centre is over in Kandivali West at the Sai Prakash Building. We are on Plot No 108. If you come by, you’ll see plenty of steel around because that is what we handle every single day. It’s heavy work and it gets a bit dirty with the metal dust, but it’s what we do. The building is easy to find if you know the Kandivali area. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the guys who do construction around these parts. We don’t have a fancy showroom. It’s more of a practical space where we keep our stock and talk to customers about what they need for their projects. Sometimes the delivery trucks take up all the space out front, which can be a bit of a headache for the neighbors, but we try to keep things moving. It's mostly just us and the sound of metal clanging together. We aren’t interested in those big corporate ways of doing business. We just talk to people plainly and give them what they asked for. If the price of steel goes up, we tell them. If it’s down, we tell them that too. It’s a straightforward way to run a shop. Our office inside Sai Prakash is small but it serves the purpose. We’ve spent many years on this plot, and we plan to stay here for a lot more. It is a lot of lifting and hard work, but we are used to it.
