Khambati Tools Centre

If you go behind the Bank of India in Zaveri Bazar and head down Third Agiary Lane, you’ll find us at number 45. Khambati Tools Centre has been in this spot for quite a long time. Zaveri Bazar is always noisy and crowded, so our shop can be a bit hard to spot at first. We keep a lot of stuff packed onto the shelves, from floor to ceiling. Most of it is heavy, metal, and exactly what a workman needs. We don't have fancy displays. We just have the tools. Sometimes it takes a minute to find the exact piece someone is looking for because we have so much inventory in such a small space. The mail comes to P.B. No.3311, but the real work happens right here in the lane. It’s usually me or one of the boys behind the counter. We’ve got regulars who have been buying their equipment from us since my father was running things. We don't spend money on glossy brochures. If you need a wrench or a specialized bit, you come in, we find it, and you go back to your job. The floor is concrete and the lights flicker a bit, but the tools are solid. It's a busy life in the bazar. We open early because that's when the laborers start their day. We don't close until the sun is well down. It’s just how we do things here.
