Khadim Steel Traders

We are Khadim Steel Traders, based at Plot No Gn/M/95/4. You can find us in the Islamia Cha area of Dharavi. We are quite close to Kumbharwada, where all the pottery happens. Dealing in steel in Dharavi means there is never a dull moment. It’s a crowded area, and moving heavy steel beams or sheets through these narrow lanes takes a lot of skill and patience. We’ve been at this spot for a long time. It’s a family business, passed down, and we know everyone on the street. The yard is usually full of stock, so there isn't much room to move around. We sell to small workshops and builders who need reliable materials for their projects. It’s a dusty, noisy business, but it keeps us busy. We don't have a fancy showroom. Most deals are done right there on the plot with a cup of tea. If you’re coming to see us, it’s best to come early before the lanes get too clogged with deliveries. We know the metal business inside out. Sometimes the prices go up and down like crazy, but we try to stay fair with the local guys we’ve known for years. It is a tough environment but there is a real community feeling here among the traders who all work side by side in this part of town. Our office is just a small table in the corner where we keep the bills.
