Kazen Barcode Pvt Ltd is situated in Andheri West, right near Dawood Baug on JP Road. This area is always buzzing with energy, mostly because of the traffic and the metro construction that seems to go on forever. Our place is a modest office where we handle everything related to barcodes. Rolls of labels are everywhere and various scanners sit on the desks for testing. It’s a lot of staring at computer screens and making sure the little black lines are printed perfectly. If they're off even a little bit, they won't scan, so we have to be careful. The office has a bit of a lived-in feel, with stacks of paper and empty tea cups. We’ve been here at Dawood Baug for a good few years now. The staff is just a few local people who live nearby. We usually have the door open to let some air in, even if it means a bit of noise from JP Road. It’s a straightforward business. We don't do big presentations or anything corporate. Usually, a customer calls or drops by, tells us what they need for their inventory, and we get it ready. Sometimes the printer jams and we spend an hour fixing it, but that’s just how it goes. It’s steady work and we like the neighborhood. There are plenty of good food stalls nearby for lunch when we get a break.
