We operate out of Basement No. 1 in the Holy Cross Apartment building. It’s located just off P. P. Road in Andheri East. Being in a basement means it stays a bit cooler, which is nice during the hot Mumbai summers, though we do miss seeing the sunlight sometimes during the day. It’s a busy part of the city, so there’s always something going on upstairs or out on the street with the traffic. We use the space for our import and export work. It’s mostly desks, computers, and a lot of filing cabinets filled with old records. We don't have a big storefront or anything like that. People usually have to look for the sign near the stairs to find us down here. It’s a quiet spot once you get down into the basement, which helps when we are trying to coordinate shipments or talk to suppliers on the phone. Andheri East is a hub for business, so it’s convenient being near the airport and the main roads. We don't try to look more successful than we are. It’s just a basement office where we put in our hours every day. Sometimes the rains make things a bit damp around the entrance, but we keep everything off the floor just in case. It’s a simple setup for a small business like ours. We just do our work, drink our tea, and handle the paperwork as it comes in from the couriers.
