Kanungo Steel Centre

We operate out of the Arab Building, which is located at No. 88/102 on the 7th Khetwadi Back Road. This part of Mumbai is very traditional and has a lot of history in the steel trade. Our office is tucked away in this old building, and it's where we manage all our steel business. It’s a busy area with narrow streets and lots of movement. We’ve been here for years, and the building has a lot of character, even if it’s a bit worn down in places. Inside, it’s mostly shelves filled with files and a few desks where we handle orders. We deal with different types of steel and spend our days talking to people across the country. It’s not the kind of place you’d find a fancy reception area. Instead, you’ll find us surrounded by stacks of paper and samples of steel. The atmosphere is very informal; we know most of the other businesses on the Back Road. Sometimes the traffic outside makes it hard to hear the phone, but we manage. We just focus on the daily tasks of buying and selling steel. It’s a practical, no-frills kind of life here in Khetwadi. We value the relationships we've built with the local transporters and other traders over the years. It’s a solid place to work and we don't plan on moving.
