Kanti Metal Works

Kanti Metal Works is located at G-82 in the Girgaon area. Girgaon is one of those old parts of Mumbai where the lanes are narrow and the buildings have a lot of history. Our shop is no different. We’ve got high ceilings and walls that have seen a lot of years go by. We work with different kinds of metal, and the sound of hammering is something we hear all day long. We have some heavy machinery for bending and cutting, and you have to be careful when you’re walking around. The floor is concrete and it’s usually covered in metal shavings and dust. We don’t have a fancy showroom or a place for people to sit. If you come by, you’ll probably find us in the middle of a job, wearing our work gear and goggles. We spend a lot of time measuring things out and making sure the cuts are precise. It’s a very manual process and it takes a bit of muscle to get things right. We have a small area in the back where we keep our tools and some spare parts. The lighting is a bit dim in some corners, so we use portable lamps when we need to see something closely. We don’t do any promotional stuff; we just rely on our reputation in the neighborhood. It’s a traditional way of working, and we’re happy to keep it that way. Every day is pretty much the same, just steady work with metal and hammers.
