B. N. Overseas Trading

B. N. Overseas Trading is up on the seventh floor of the B Wing in Videocon Towers. We are right in the heart of Thakur Complex in Kandivali East. Being on the 704th unit gives us a bit of a view, though it’s mostly just other buildings and the highway in the distance. The towers are always busy with people coming and going from different offices. We have a decent sized space here, but it’s mostly taken up by desks and a big cupboard full of trade records. Trading across borders involves a lot of waiting and a lot of phone calls. We usually start the day by checking the overnight messages. The air conditioning is usually running full blast because it gets quite warm in the afternoon. We have a small team, and we’ve all been working together for a few years now. It’s a friendly enough atmosphere. We don't have any fancy posters or mission statements on the walls. It’s just calendars and maybe a few personal photos. The elevator ride up in the morning is when we usually plan out what needs to be done. We deal with a lot of paperwork, which can be tedious, but it’s just part of the job. Most of the time, we’re just making sure the numbers add up and the cargo is moving. It’s steady work here in Kandivali. We just keep at it and try to stay on top of the schedule.
