Kanchan Steel (India)

We are located in Shop No. 7 at Ridhi Apartment on 10th Khetwadi Back Road. It’s a small shop, but we fit a lot of stuff in here. Kanchan Steel (India) is basically where we spend most of our daylight hours. The street is narrow, so deliveries can be a bit of a headache sometimes, but we manage. You’ll find a lot of metal bits and pieces stacked up. It’s not the quietest place to work, but it feels right. We don't have a receptionist or a waiting room. You just walk in and talk to whoever is behind the counter. Usually, that’s one of us covered in a bit of dust. We’ve lived and worked around this part of the city for a long time. The building itself is okay, nothing special, but it’s sturdy. We like being on the ground floor because it makes moving heavy things a lot easier. Sometimes the neighbors come by to chat. It’s that kind of place. We don’t put on any airs or pretend to be some big corporation. We are just a local steel business trying to do our part. The fans are always humming to keep it cool. We keep our records in stacks on the desk. Everything is simple and direct. It’s just a honest day's work for us at Khetwadi. We know the local shops and the shortcuts through the alleys. It works for us.
