Kamalee's

Kamalee's is located inside the Gokul Residency, specifically at C-103. This is over in Thakur Village, which is a part of Kandivili. It is a bit different from having a shop right on the main street because it is more of a residential setting. You have to come into the building area to find us. It is usually a bit quieter here than out on the busy Mumbai roads. We have been working out of this space for a bit, and it feels more personal than a big retail outlet. Most of the people who come by are living in the residency or nearby in the village. We handle various items, and the space is often filled with bits and pieces of our latest work. There isn't a lot of room for a big display, so things are tucked into corners or stacked on the table. We don't have a big staff, so if the phone rings, one of us just picks it up while doing something else. It is a very hands-on kind of environment. Sometimes we forget to tidy up the desk because we are busy with a customer or a project. We like the community feel of Thakur Village. It feels like everyone knows everyone else. We just open our doors every morning and see who stops by. It is a straightforward way to run a business without all the extra fuss you see in the city.
